Welcome to AIM.LT.org!
Please excuse the settling digital dust.
If you're looking for information on how to implement an Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) project in your BLM Field Office, you've come to the right place. Here you'll find guidance for every step of the process from the initial planning through data collection to analysis of the data.
Some tips for using this site:
- This site is specifically about implementing AIM projects as a BLM office using the Monitoring Manual and Core Methods. Of course the Core Methods can be used for non-AIM and non-BLM monitoring efforts though! If you're looking for more general monitoring information, the main Landscape Toolbox is full of useful materials (and is referenced from this site at various points).
- The Intro to AIM page is the best place to start if you're mostly unfamiliar with AIM. If you've attended a workshop or training, you've probably encountered all that information before and may want to start exploring the implementation process.
- The implementation process takes place in several steps beginning with Planning & Funding and ending with Analysis & Reporting. Each step leads into the next and depends on the previous one. If you're starting from scratch, Planning & Funding should be your first stop.
